Kawhi Leonard (quad) is not expected to play in Wednesday’s season opener against Minnesota.

That's not good at all after Kawhi has missed all of the preseason. Leonard has been rehabbing his left quadriceps tendinitis issue for this month, and the most work he's done at practice so far is shooting free throws. The Spurs are almost always cautious with injuries, especially with how Kawhi had a similar problem in 2012-13. If you're drafting this weekend, you may want to wait until at least 20 to take a shot on one of the league's best players. Kyle Anderson is probably going to start, but Rudy Gay is likely the beneficiary for fantasy

Hornets owner Michael Jordan says that NBA stars ganging up and playing for super teams will hurt competitive balance.

Last year, Kevin Durant left the Thunder to join the already loaded Golden State Warriors. This year, Carmelo Anthony and Paul George landed with Russell Westbrook in Oklahoma City, creating another so-called super team with tremendous star power.

In an interview with Cigar Aficionado, Jordan said, "I think it's going to hurt the overall aspect of the league from a competitive standpoint. You're going to have one or two teams that are going to be great, and another 28 teams that are going to be garbage. Or they're going to have a tough time surviving in the business environment."

Dwyane Wade scored 15 points in just 12 minutes against the Magic on Friday, adding two rebounds, two blocks and one 3-pointer.

It seems that though he is still a valuable player, it might be dangerous to own him in your fantasy rosters, as Cavaliers might take it easy on him and give Wade plenty of rest. Do not forget he is 35 years old. Put him in your roster at your own risk.

There was a technical problem which caused that the remaining cash did not change when adding new players. As a result, we had to manually restore affected teams to an empty status. Please check if any of your teams were affected and reconfigure them if needed. Huge thanks to those of you who let us know about the glitch!
We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Dwyane Wade has confirmed he is going to play for Cavaliers. That way he will play again with his great friend Lebron. He will try to fight for his fourth NBA Championship, and reliving so great past moments in Miami with James.
Aged 35, we are not sure what kind of performance Wade can throw in, but it is worth keeping an eye of him for your fantasy team.

Carmelo Anthony is finally heading for Oklahoma in exchange for Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott and a 2018 second-rounder.
The means another big three in Oklahoma Thunder: Westbrook, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony and empowers even still more the Western Conference.

It is time to sum up Anthony seven year's legacy, which is somehow difficult to explain. Those seven years have been year of hope on start, frustration in the end.

His six-plus seasons in New York were filled with constant turnover. A half-dozen executives and coaches were hired and fired during Anthony's tenure. He had 72 different teammates in his past six seasons. That's the sixth-highest total in the NBA in that span and 10 more players than the NBA average.

The raw results during Anthony's Knicks tenure aren't pretty. New York never advanced past the second round of the playoffs, and the club missed the postseason entirely in each of the past four years. The Knicks finished 207-269 during Anthony's six full seasons and went 1-3 in playoff series.

But how much of that was Anthony's fault? Probably nobody can answer to that.

Of course, Anthony's detractors will point to his isolation-heavy style of play as a reason for the revolving door of executives, coaches and players.

People around the Knicks will always question whether Anthony did enough with the hand he was dealt. Now we will see what Carmelo is capable of within a strong time such as Oklahoma with the newly formed big three.

Lauri Markkanen (more than 15 points and 7 rebounds average in his only season in Arizona's university), was drafted 7th in 2017 by Minnesota and transferred to Bulls the same draft event.
In the EuroBasket he has shown a big potential. He has a great shot from anywhere, some good movements in the post, and some kind of coldness on clutch time. He needs to gain some weight and muscle, but anyhow, it sounds promising for Bulls.

One month short of the new season, Nikola Mirotic does not have any deal yet, though he is training at The Advocate Center, Bulls' premises.
Number 88 in the top 100 of 2017/18 season in ESPN ranking, he has a qualifying offer from Bulls in his hads, going over 7M dollars, where he would be a free agent with no restrictions next summer. Still, as a restricted free agent, he is waiting for an offer to guarantee him a future in NBA.

Andrew Bogut (tibia) will get a final bone scan on Tuesday and expects to be cleared for a full return, according to Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe.
There are reportedly four teams pursuing Bogut, and he hopes to sign a new contract next week. The Celtics had been linked to Bogut earlier this offseason and now have an open roster spot as a result of the Kyrie Irving trade. Bogut makes sense for Boston, as they could use another rebounder and rim protector.

Marc Gasol posted a 28-point, 10-rebound double-double during Spain's 84-72 win over Germany on Tuesday, to go with four assists, four 3-pointers, one steal and two blocks in 30 minutes.
Gasol dominated both ends of the floor in this one, and his brother Pau wasn't too shabby himself, tallying 19 points, four boards, two assists and one block in his 28 minutes of floor time. Spain will now face Slovenia in the semifinals, but with the way their team has been rolling, it would be quite shocking if they didn't advance to the championship round. As for fantasy hoops, Marc has looked great at the tournament and will make for a fine early-round selection on draft day.

Kristaps Porzingis went 12-of-21 from the field and 9-of-11 from the line in a 103-97 loss to Slovenia on Tuesday, on his way to 34 points, six boards, one 3-pointer and one block in 32 minutes.
Porzingis lit it up at EuroBasket with averages of 21.8 points, 5.8 boards, 1.8 triples and a tournament-leading 2.0 blocks per game on 52.4 percent shooting. He should take another step forward in his development in his third NBA season, and as long as he can stay healthy, there's a decent chance he'll be able to work his way into a top-20 equation.

Warriors have reached an agreement to sell jersey sponsorship to Rakuten for $20M per year. This will mean a $60 million jersey sponsorship, as the deal is for 3 year.

Rakuten is a tech company based in Japan who is also the jersey sponsor for Barcelona. Rakuten is paying nearly $60 million per year for their sponsorship of Barcelona compared to $20 million per year for the richest deal in the NBA.

"We love sports," Rakuten founder and CEO Hiroshi Mikitani told ESPN. "There's a lot of emotion to it -- great stories, smiles and tears."

"We actually had multiple finalists," Warriors chief marketing officer Chip Bowers said. "This was not the biggest deal that we were offered."

Rakuten opened up its North American headquarters in San Francisco in 2015.

The Vertical reportes on Monday that veteran guard/forward Tony Allen is finalizing a one-year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.

It would mark the third team in 14 NBA seasons for the 35-year-old Allen. He spent the past seven with the Grizzlies, establishing himself as one of the NBA’s best defenders with six All-Defense selections over that span.

It seemed little time ago that the Warriors had firmly grabbed the first seed for the playoffs in the west conference. Currently, after Durant injury and without any clear news on his return, the last ten games the balance is 6-4 for the Warriors, 9-1 for the Spurs.

Spurs are now two victories away from Warriors, and everything points to a tough fight for the 1st seed, specially if Durant is not back anytime soon.
